NEVILLE GRUZMAN

Lasslett House, Lindfield 2001.

The site for this house is very narrow and deep. One of the concerns of the architect was to avoid at all costs having a garage facing the street. The garages are therefore set to the rear of the house and the drive is treated as the pedestrian entrance to the house situated halfway along its length. When used for entertaining, the public rooms all open on to one another providing a huge space.

Apart from Lasslett, other works of Gruzman featured on this site include Chadwick, Hills, Montrose, and Darling Point.
